Today Sony Interactive Entertainment opened digital pre-orders in Japan for both the PS4 and PS3 versions of Persona 5, and that comes with interesting implications.

First of all, you can find them on the Japanese PlayStation Store at the following links:

Incidentally, the 20th Anniverary PlayStation Store Edition comes with the following goodies:

  • Persona 4 Costume & BGM special set
  • Persona 3 Costume & BGM special set
  • Orpheus & Orpheus Zokujin set
  • Izanagi & Izanagi Zokujin set
  • Persona 20th Anniversary All-Time Best Sound Track
  • 20th Anniversary Special Edition Limited Theme & 2 Avatar Sets

Now that we’re past the preamble, what’s most intriguing is that the PlayStation Store listings include the first official PS3 screenshots of the game, and corresponding PS3 images portratying the same scenes, allowing us to easily compare the two versions.

In the gallery below, the PS4 version of each screenshot is followed by the PS3 version.
