Atlus published another short gameplay video for Persona 5 Royal on the Japanese official Persona Twitter. The video shows the Phantom Thieves up against a "Kyoma", the new type of powerful enemy personas found in Palaces and Mementos.

Kyoma monsters counterattack anytime you attack them. If you defeat them, it will deal massive damage to the rest of the enemies. This makes the rest of the fight an easy win. The Kyoma enemies also drop valuable items.

In the video, the Kyoma drops something called a "Black Stone". This item was in the original Persona 5 as well. Black Stones and other similar items can be fused with personas to obtain accessories.

The Kyoma type enemies were first shown in Morgana's Report videos. Here's the first one, the second one, and the third one.

Ryuji’s, Ann’s and Yusuke’s new personas were detailed in screenshots. The character introduction trailer so far includes Kasumi, Ryuji, Ann, Yusuke, Makoto, and Futaba.

News about Persona 5 Royal's 2020 western release has been scarce, so will still don't know yet how some of the new terms like "Kyoma" will be officially translated. In any case, those who import and can understand Japanese will be able to enjoy the game as soon as October 31, exclusively on PS4.
