Atlus has revealed a new Persona 5 Royal trailer showcasing Yusuke Kitagawa. In it, we're given a brief look at some new scenes starring Yusuke alongside some of the other party members. You can check out the full trailer down below.

What's specifically interesting about the trailer is the fact that we see Yusuke interacting with Ann without the protagonist in sight. Throughout Persona 5, a large majority of the cutscenes and interactions in-game happen between your main protagonist and the other characters. With the inclusion of scenes between specific party members, we're given the chance to see these characters we love grow their friendship in different ways amongst one another.

Easily, the best part of the trailer happens at the end when we get to see Yusuke's flashy duo move with Ann. These techniques are much flashier than anything seen in the base version of Persona 5. It'll be interesting to see how well they're incorporated into the already top-notch turn-based battle system.

If you're unfamiliar with how the Persona series works, Persona 5 Royal is a follow up to 2017's Persona 5. It will roughly follow the same storyline, only this time there will be a hefty amount of new content added in the form of characters, cutscenes, and dungeons to explore. Persona 3 had a similar offering with Persona 3 FES while Persona 4 was followed up by Persona 4 Golden on the PS Vita. All of the previous games had a considerably longer runtime than their base titles, so I think it's safe to say that Persona 5 Royal will offer plenty of new content that'll make the game worth running through again.

Over the past few weeks, Atlus has rolled out a handful of other trailers that show off a lot of newly added scenes involving the main party like Ryuji, Ann, and Royal's unique party member Kazumi Yoshizawa. Persona 5 Royal is launching in the west on PS4 sometime in 2020.
