Atlus and Sega published on October 1 two new videos on Persona 5 Royal. The first one features Sora Amamiya, the voice of Kasumi Yoshizawa. The second video features Joker's voice, Jun Fukuyama. They both were asked to share some impressions on their work on the game, and chat about their respective characters.

These two videos were first shown at the Persona 5 Royal event at Billboard Live Tokyo on August 30, but weren't made public until now. That was the event where they revealed the third trailer, Joker's trailer, and a new teaser for Persona 5 Scramble.

I've translated both videos below:

Kasumi's seiyuu Amamiya Sora.

How did you get to know the Persona series?

Sora Amamiya: Sometime ago, I was invited by a friend to go to one of the stage play adaptations. It's my first time appearing in the series and playing it with Persona 5 Royal. What surprised me the most is how cool the game looks and how fashionable the music is.

What kind of character is Kasumi Yoshizawa?

Sora Amamiya: She does rhythmic gymnastics and everyone at school knows her since she's so beautiful. She also has a bright and playful personality.

Do you have similarities with Kasumi?

Sora Amamiya: I'm definitely not as flexible. I don't think there are any... but I guess we both love eating a lot. Kasumi's appetite is something often brought up during the story too. It's one of her cute points.

Do you have a message for the players?

Sora Amamiya: I was really moved with how much work is being poured into the game. Kasumi is a really deep character too, I hope you'll enjoy her story. I know there are a lot of fans overseas too. I hope everyone in the world will love Kasumi.

By the way, did you know Joker's name in the anime version is Ren Amamiya? You both have the same name!

Sora Amamiya: Really?! I had no idea.

Joker's seiyuu Fukuyama Jun:

How many hours did you reach in the original Persona 5?

FukuJun: I played it over 120 hours. I remember playing non stop on release day, and I got up to Madarame Palace the day after.

Could you tell us how different Persona 5 Royal feels compared to the original?

FukuJun: The game has tons of new gameplay mechanics. And there are tons of new lines I recorded. Some are pretty different-sounding than what I did in the original game too.

Could you explain what makes Persona 5 Royal appealing?

FukuJun: Well, the game has a lot of new content, and we didn't show everything in the promo material. We've got new battle mechanics like the new powerful attack thing (Show Time). Joker has more cool scenes. And, of course, we've got new scenario elements. The new story parts will definitely satisfy everyone, whether you played the original or not.

That's all for now.

Atlus recently revealed the opening animation movie, the title screen, and the first ten minutes or so of Persona 5 Royal. The casino escape includes new scenes with Kasumi. Kasumi is also getting in Star Ocean Anamnesis, and was also cosplayed by Enako. You can check all that here.

Lastly, we also got some gameplay explaining one of the new mechanics of Mementos, another scene featuring Joker and Goro, and some Challenge Battles mode live gameplay played by Fukujun.

PS4 exclusive Persona 5 Royal launches on October 31 in Japan and in Spring 2020 in the west. A feature answering if I personally felt like Persona 5 Royal’s additions were worth my time or not will probably be coming in early November.
