Persona 5 Royal New Trailer Introduces Morgana and His New Persona Diego

Atlus revealed new details and new event scenes of Persona 5 Royal with Morgana's introduction trailer.

July 30, 2019

Atlus released the first Persona 5 Royal trailer of the week, focusing on Morgana, Persona 5 ‘s mascot like character who is totally not a cat.

The trailer starts with a certain scene anyone who played the original Persona 5 will recognize. We then get to see Morgana, Joker, Ryuji, and Yusuke during a new event scene. Ryuji’s complaining it’s so hot and how they shouldn’t have gone out. Morgana points out it was Ryuji’s ideas in the first place to go there.

Next, we see Morgana chatting with Joker about a new idea he had, and how it’ll definitely make Ann fall for him. We then get to see Morgana’s new persona, named Diego, which is Zorro’s civilian name. Just like the other new personas revealed so far, it’s using the historically true name or supposed true name of the original persona used by the character.

The next scene has Morgana chatting with Ann about something, probably about their Show Time attack. The final scene is Joker and Morgana during the new school cleaning event we’ve seen plenty of times now. It seems it happens right after this scene where Joker was chatting with Kasumi. Morgana comments on how Kasumi seems to have a hard life.

Almost every main character got an introduction trailer now: Kasumi, Ryuji, Ann, Yusuke, Makoto. Futaba, and Haru.

Persona 5 Royal is also getting its first live stream on August 2. Atlus will probably reveal the second full-length trailer during this stream. Atlus already confirmed Takuto isn’t the sole new confident character in Persona 5 Royal, so maybe we’ll see another confident character too.

PS4 exclusive Persona 5 Royal launches on October 31 in Japan and sometime in 2020 in the west.
