The newest Persona 5 Royal gameplay video briefly introduces Kichijoji, one of the brand new areas in the game.
Atlus keeps the Persona 5 Royal short gameplay videos coming on its official Twitter. Today we’ve got a new video showing Joker, Morgana, and Ryuji going to the Kichijoji Downtown Area for the first time.

Here’s a quick translation:
Morgana: Wow, so this is what Kichijoji is like… with its covered gallery, it feels completely different from Shibuya.
Ryuji: I know right?! We never hang around here, so just walking around makes you all excited, right?
Joker: “Yeah, it’s fun” or “Let’s go play darts already”.
Morgana: Yeah let’s get going! I’ll show you my masterful darts techniques!!
The tweet itself doesn’t say anything we don’t already know, like how Kichijoji has stuff like a billiards and darts game.
The scene takes place on June 5, when the story nears the beginning of summer. Persona 5‘s story begins in April, meaning the Kihicjoji area gets accessible pretty early.
The previous videos showed new confidant Takuto’s introduction scene, Kasumi introducing herself to Joker, and a part of the New Years scene. More information on Persona 5 Royal is also coming through Morgana streams, with the first episode covered here.
Persona 5 Royal is coming to PS4 on October 31 in Japan, and sometime in 2020 in the west. Multiple new Persona 5 figures got announced by Hobby Japan during its Mega Hobby Expo, including one for Kasumi.
