Persona 5 Royal has been released on PC, giving data miners the ability to discover previously cut content. Following its release on modern consoles, the PC version has left many fans excited to see the potential of data miners and modders.
A popular Twitter user, Faz, was one of the first to release their findings online. Faz is well known among the Persona fan base for diving deep into each game and noticing the little things. In a few recent Twitter posts, he has shown off previously unused designs for a different Shibuya Scramble. There is also a picture showing different phone icons for the Phantom Thieves group chat, with Akechi's being a Crow.
In the thread is also a picture of an alpha version of the title screen. This photo is unfinished but includes the main Phantom Thieves (excluding Akechi and Royal's Kasumi). There is also a differently designed Joker, wearing either a version of his school uniform or very different phantom thief attire while holding a gun.
After many years of the Persona series being locked onto PlayStation consoles, Atlus recently revealed that it was moving onto all available modern consoles. During its recent 25-year Persona celebration, Atlus announced that Persona 3,4, and 5 were getting remastered for PlayStation 5, PC, Switch, and Xbox Series X|S. While Persona 5 Royal has already been released, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are still scheduled to come out on January 19 of next year. Like Royal, they will also be included on Game Pass upon their release.
Persona 5 Royal had only been out on PC for a few days when these discoveries were made, leading many to hope more secrets will be released over time.
