Atlus revealed on June 27 a new Persona 5 Royal gameplay video, focusing on Phantom Thieves founding member Ryuji Sakamoto. The video most notably shows plenty of new scenes included in Persona 5 Royal, such as Ryuji chatting with Yusuke and how Yusuke came up with a new tag move. Their team attack is shown near the end of the video.

The gameplay video also revealed that similar to Persona 4 Golden, all party members will receive a new Persona evolution in Persona 5 Royal. Ryuji's new Persona is named William, the given name of Captain Kidd.

This Ryuji video was announced one day before its reveal on June 26. It seems Atlus will now regularly publish character introduction gameplay videos like these, revealing each of the new Persona and team attacks found in Persona 5 Royal.

Sega had announced last week that this month's SegaNama stream on June 25 would include new information, but in the end, everything they talked about and showed was a recap of what we already knew, so that was a bummer.

Stay tuned as similar to Kasumi Yoshizawa's introduction trailer, we'll upload an English subbed version of Ryuji's introduction trailer in the next few hours.

PS4 exclusive Persona 5 Royal launches on October 31 in Japan and in 2020 in the west. You can check more gameplay and details in our previous story and read about how the new battle BGM "Take Over" works.
