Persona 5 Royal Gets Additional Screenshots Through Special Famitsu Issue
The special Persona 5 Royal Famitsu pamphlet distributed during the Persona Super Live P-Sound Street 2019 concert is now available online.
On April 24 and 25, Atlus revealed new trailers for Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Scramble during the Persona Super Live P-Sound Street 2019 concerts. Attendees of the concerts also received a special short edition of Famitsu focusing on Persona 5 Royal. That Famitsu pamphlet is now available for free digitally on Persona‘s official Japanese website.
The Famitsu pamphlet has the exact same information as Persona 5 Royale‘s Japanese official site, and we’ve already covered it. However, it also includes screenshots of scenes not shown in the trailer or on the official site.
Warning: The following contains spoilers for Persona 5‘s main story and ending.
One of the screenshots illustrating the new playable January to April time-frame in Persona 5 Royal allows us to make multiple theories regarding it. The screenshot shows what seems to be Sojiro, Futaba and Futaba’s mom Wakaba together. Wakaba passed away though, meaning there’s something weird going on there, either a dream-like sequence or the characters are in the Other World. It could also explain why Joker would still be able to hang out with the others during that time frame even though he’s supposed to be in jail for most of it. In any case, we won’t have answers for now. More information on Persona 5 Royal will be published by Atlus on May 9.
Persona 5 Royal is a PS4 exclusive. The game is titled Persona 5 The Royal in Japan and will be out there on October 31, 2019. It’ll only be available in the west sometime in 2020. Persona 5 Scramble The Phantom Strikers will be launching on PS4 and Switch but has no release date estimate yet.
