Persona 5 Royal developer Atlus has confirmed that the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC releases will feature all of the game’s downloadable content at release

The unexpected news that Persona 5 Royal would be coming to non-PlayStation platforms came during Summer Game Festival at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. The unorthodox JRPG will be coming to the aforementioned platforms on October 21. Persona 5 Royal will be available on Xbox Game Pass on PC and Steam.

There is a multitude of DLC available for the six-year-old Persona 5, including costume packs, new Personas, item sets and more. Persona 5 Royal has 45 individual DLC items (thanks, PCGamer) which will all be bundled with the upcoming ports.

However, the announcement by Atlus does not explicitly mention the Steam version. Atlus stated all the DLC is coming to the Xbox and Windows versions. This could potentially mean the bundle is only coming to Game Pass or it could also simply be Atlus using Windows as a synonym for PC which would mean the Steam version will be getting the same treatment.

There has been no announcement of a Nintendo Switch port of the game as of yet, though Nintendo has been handling the usual summer period announcement spree a bit different than usual this year. An upcoming Nintendo Direct Mini may hold the answers to a potential Switch port, but nothing is guaranteed.

Prior to the release of Persona 4: Golden on Steam in Summer 2020, Atlus had a long-standing tradition of not porting their games to other platforms. With the recent Game Pass announcement, it could spell the end of PlayStation exclusivity for the Persona series

The entire Persona trilogy will be coming to Game Pass at a later date. Persona 4 Golden is currently available on Steam (and it’s on sale!).
