Atlus revealed today that besides the Persona 5 The Royal announcement on April 24, "1 More" announcement is coming on April 25, about a certain Persona 5 S. A Persona 5 S teaser site was opened, showing the visual above, inspired from the original game's GUI.

Moreover, when checking the source code of the teaser site, a hidden message in Japanese is included:

-2019年4月25日。-->

<!--世界の認知を覆す、新たな怪盗団をお見せしよう。-->

<!--我々は会心を求む声に躍動する。-->

<!--今一度、両国国技館にて諸君の心を頂戴する。-->

<!--心の怪盗団より-->

This translates to: "April 25 2019. We will show you new Phantom Thieves, overturning the world's cognition.

We act as we hear the voices of those seeking reformation.

Once again, we will steal your heart at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.

Signed, the Phantom Thieves of Heart."

The next big Persona concert event, the Persona Super Live, will be held at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Yokoami, Tokyo, on April 24 and 25. Meaning that a Persona 5 The Royal announcement will be made on the first day of the concert, and the Persona 5 S related announcement will be on the second day on April 25.

Of course, what everyone wants to know is what the S will stand for. Is it Persona 5 Switch? And if it is, does this means that Persona 5 The Royal will be launching not only on PS4 but on Switch as well? Judging from the hidden message, this is pretty likely. Only time will tell.

Another possibility would be Persona 5 S standing for  "Persona 5 Smash" meaning the announcement that Joker will then be available as DLC in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The release window for Joker's DLC seemingly recently changed, so perhaps Persona 5 S is related. Joker's 3D render in Smash. Ultimate was recently revealed as well.

Persona 5 The Royal was revealed on March 23 following the Persona 5 the Animation Stars and Ours anime special with a first teaser trailer and screenshots.
