Persona 5 Strikers Officially Releases in the West in February 2021
Persona 5 Strikers, which merges the Persona franchise with action-RPG gameplay, is finally coming to western regions in February 2021.
While Persona fans have had a lot to look forward to recently–including the launch of Persona 5 Royal this past spring–many in the west have been eagerly waiting for news on the series’ Musou-style crossover. Released in Japan as Persona 5 Scramble earlier this year, the title is now coming to the west as Persona 5 Strikers, and fans won’t have to wait too much longer until its release.
Atlus has officially revealed that Persona 5 Strikers will launch in the west on February 23, 2021, where it will release on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The publisher has also confirmed that the PS4 version will be playable on PS5 through backward compatibility, but at this time has not detailed whether it will support any enhanced technical features on the new hardware or in the PC version.
The reveal trailer, which initially leaked last week, confirms the title’s February launch and highlights gameplay and cinematics from the Persona spin-off, which adapts the series to the Musou-style gameplay of hacking and slashing through hoards of enemies. However, Strikers will also serve as a continuation of the story from the original Persona 5, featuring the return of the Phantom Thieves as they continue to steal hearts across various locations throughout Japan. Aside from Persona 5‘s main protagonist Joker, the game will also feature other members of the Phantom Thieves as playable characters that players can swap between, including Makoto, Haru, Morgana, and more.

Atlus also confirmed that aside from the standard edition of the game on all platforms, a Digital Deluxe Edition for Strikers will be available that includes bonus content and features. Specifically, the Digital Deluxe Edition includes extra item packs, additional music tracks from across the Persona series, a digital soundtrack and art book, and a behind-the-scenes video for the making of two new songs in the game. Additionally, those that purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will also get early access to the game four days before its release, letting players jump in starting on February 19, 2021.
