In other news, Famitsu has revealed that Persona Fusion will be possible and the mechanics are far closer to Shin Megami Tensei‘s. As we know, party members will be able to equip sub-persona from enemies defeated in battle, giving them access to skills they normally couldn’t use. If you happen to have too many Personae, however, you can fuse the unwanted ones with your current one to give the latter a huge boost in experience points, in a process called “Union Sacrifice.”

This process can also be used to fuse two different Personae together to create a different one, the new one retaining skills from its ingredients.

Finally, there are two ways that players can trade Personae with each other: the first through Streetpass and the second through QR codes shared online. You won’t lose the Persona you trade, though.
