Konami’s PES 2016 is already out, and it has received good overall praise from several publications. Will this be enough for it to overtake EA Sport’s FIFA 16?
PES 2016 is “definitely catching up with FIFA,” but they will have to “convince a lot of people,” according to Product Manager Adam Bhatti.
“We’re definitely catching up with FIFA, and we have to be respectful about that. We have to keep closing that gap. In a couple of years we’ll clearly lead again. But we have to convince a lot of people.”
Bhatti couldn’t deny the lack of licenses in the game, but they try and compensate it by improving the visuals and presentation as much as they can.
“There are things we can’t control like licences, but in terms of presentation, visuals, we want to be industry leading.”
Konami holds the UEFA Euro 2016 license, so we will wait and see what will they do with it.
