PES 2020 Adds Exclusive Euro 2020 Content April 30
PES 2020 adds a ton of Euro 2020 related content via a free update. Take your favorite county to the top of Europe on April 30.
The real-life Euro 2020 tournament is still very much up in the air amid coronavirus concerns. Fortunately, the digital version is coming soon to PES 2020, Konami’s soccer sim. The free update comes to the game in late April and includes several pieces of fun content. So, while you may not get to see your favorite stars compete in the tournament this summer, you can at least guide them to glory in PES.
The biggest addition coming with the Euro 2020 free update is, of course, the new tournament mode. All 55 national teams are represented, meaning if you want to take lowly San Marino (ranked 209 out of 210 in the current FIFA World Rankings) all the way to the promised land, you can d0 so. Konami is also adding in a few new stadiums in the form of Wembley and Saint Petersburg. PES 2020‘s stadiums are incredibly detailed and impressive looking. It stands to reason that, with a license as big as the Euros, they’ll knock these out of the park as well. And, of course, there will be new featured players in MyClub. That should include a Team of the Tournament if the tournament takes place.
There has been a ton of backlash against EA’s FIFA 20 release this year, especially over the last few months. Therefore, this is an opportunity for PES 2020 to capitalize and deliver solid, exclusive content. Since Konami scooped up the Euro 2020 license last year, this was always going to be an important moment for them. However, now it feels slightly greater, given the state of the FIFA scene these days.
eFootball PES 2020 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The free Euro 2020 update is available to download on April 30. Get in there and see if you can take that San Marino squad to the top of Europe.
