Peter Dinklage Joins the Cast of Adam Sandler’s Pixels

According to Variety, actor Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones fame will join the cast of Adam Sandler’s video game movie Pixels.

Pixels is an adaptation of the 2010 animated short film by Patrick Jean, that tells the story of  New York City being invaded by various real-life video games including Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Frogger. Now it’s up to a group of videogame experts who are recruited by the government to help deal with the threat.

The  Sony-published film also stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Josh Gad which is being produced by Sandler’s company Happy Madison Productions. Chris Columbus will direct.

Pixels will start filming this summer and is slated to be released in 2016.
