PGA Tour 2K21 Hits The Links With New Career and Tons of Customization
PGA Tour 2K21 lets you build the ultimate pro golfer and hit your own, custom-made dream course on August 21.
Announced last week, PGA Tour 2K21 is the upcoming golf simulator from 2K Sports. After working closely with HB Studios on The Golf Club 2019 Featuring the PGA Tour, 2K Sports decided to throw their putter onto the virtual green for their own version. And now, the team has pulled back the curtain even more, giving us a look at all of the modes and content coming this August. Give it a look below.
PGA Tour 2K21 seems to have its focus on its career mode and all the customization options that come with it. You’ll be able to create your very own golfer and compete against the game’s cover boy Justin Thomas and 11 other pros as you work your way into becoming a champion. Of course, along the way, you’ll earn sick new gear to make whatever outlandish character your heart desires.
The trailer does, fortunately, show off some lady golfers. This tells me that you’ll be able to select your character’s gender at the outset. Given that the game only includes 12 pro golfers, I was a little surprised to see it included. That said, I’m very glad 2K put it in there.
The customization options don’t stop with your clothes though. The team seems very high on their dream course creator. They’re giving you “1,000s of custom options” to build a course that rivals any of the big boys. And, of course, multiplayer modes will be all the rage. You and your friends can hop on and play a few holes together. Another surprise for me is the apparent lack of any Ultimate Team-like mode. I suppose when you only have 12 pros, that’s a tough ask. However, given how prevalent that has become in sports games, it’s great to not see it here.
PGA Tour 2K21 comes to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 21.
