One of the most popular online RPGs is finally coming to the states. And if you have an Xbox One, you'll be able to play it for yourself very soon. You can sign up for the Phantasy Star Online 2 closed beta for a chance to become a member of ARKS a bit early.

If this interests you in any way, you're probably wondering how you sign up. Well, it's pretty simple, but not as simple as going to a website and just filling out a form. The Phantasy Star Online 2 closed beta is exclusive to Xbox One, so the first requirement is an Xbox One console. You will also need to install the "Xbox Insider Hub" app if you have not already. If you haven't, you can find it in the Store tab.

Once you've installed the app, launch it. On the main dashboard, select "Insider Content." From here choose "Games" and select "Phantasy Star Online 2." All you have to do is press "Join" and you are all signed up. When the Phantasy Star Online 2 closed beta begins, you will be notified with an Xbox Live message.

Although this closed beta is only for Xbox One users, you can still sign up on a Windows 10 device. But if you want to try it out early, you will need any iteration of the home console.

Seeing Phantasy Star Online 2 coming to the US and Canada is such a wild thing. This online RPG originally released in 2012. That is seven years ago. However, a legitimate way to play the game in the states was never released. When it was announced it would be coming to Xbox One and PC in the West during E3 this year, it was such a weird announcement, but one that got tons of people, including myself, very excited.

Phantasy Star Online 2's western release is still set in the Spring 2020 window.
