Phantom Breaker Screens Are Looking Pretty Hot

Phantom Breaker is a new Xbox 360-exclusive fighting game from Japanese developer 5pb. Yes, I realize “Xbox 360” and “Japanese” in the same sentence is usually an oxymoron. You might recognize that 5pb from a few months back when it was revealed that Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima was working with them on a special project. This is their first fighting game (and not the aforementioned special project), which is similar in visual style for the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue franchises. It even carries some of the same mechanics to those two games, although developed by other houses.

Today we have some screens and character artwork from the title, compliments of 5pb, so have a look. I’m a huge fan of the art style, but not so much a fan of fighting games. If you’re interested in both, or of the aforementioned two titles, which have come to North America, you should keep an eye out on this one, for sure.
