Today, before the game’s appearance at E3, CreativeForge Games and Good Shepard Entertainment released a brand new trailer focused for their Cold War espionage game Phantom Doctrine that highlights both its gameplay and story. The developers have also confirmed that the game will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One at launch later this year.

For those of you who don’t know, Phantom Doctrine is an XCOM inspired turn-based strategy game that shifts the focus from aliens to the Cold War. Players control the leader of a secret organization called The Cabal, who are trying to stop another mysterious organization from covertly gaining control of the world.

Outside of combat or stealth missions, players will also have to develop and improve their home base, research new technology, train and forge new identities for agents, and interrogate and brainwash captured enemies. Phantom Doctrine is a headlining title for Good Shepard Entertainment, and it was one of the first titles they revealed after relaunching.

You can check out the newest gameplay trailer below. Phantom Doctrine will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime later this year.
