With every trade show, there is always a sort of conflict between showing gameplay and displaying impressive cinematics that won’t exactly show how the game will actually look. Apparently, Microsoft is leaning towards the former at E3, as mentioned by Xbox Division Head Phil Spencer on Twitter.

This actually seems to be a trend that has been taking root in the industry as a whole, and it’s definitely a welcome one. While cinematics are nice, gameplay is certainly a lot more interesting.
