Pokémon titles have always been about choice; from deciding which move-set to run to ensure your creatures are battle-ready to the iconic cry of the animeâs main character Ash Ketchum of âPikachu, I choose you!â The choice of moves a particular pocket monster is capable of learning could be a deciding factor in whether to purchase Pokémon: Letâs Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Letâs Go, Eevee! when the two games launch later this year.
Stepping up to the plate first is the franchiseâs mascot Pikachu with a recently revealed exclusive move. A short video on Pokémonâs official Twitter page sees the trainerâs pint-sized yellow sidekickâs new attack in action.
The move, called Floaty Fall sees Pikachu lifted into the air by five colored balloons. It then uses the electric pouches on its cheeks to pop the balloons before coming plummeting earthwards to attack the opposing Pokémon with a body slam. Since the move is performed on a Metapod and labeled âsuper effective,â this means that the Floaty Fall is more than likely a flying type; taking into account that it activated in mid-air.
Pokémon: Letâs Go, Pickachu! and Pokémon: Letâs Go, Eevee! will be available on November 16 exclusively on Nintendo Switch featuring Pokémon Go integration and classic Kanto legendaries. There is also an adorable Pokémon: Letâs Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Letâs Go, Eevee! themed Switch set to launch on the same day.
