Nintendo Removes Pikmin Movies From Wii U and Uploads Them on YouTube

Pikmin movies can now be watched for free on YouTube.

If you’re getting excited about the upcoming Pikmin 3 Deluxe, then you’ll probably be welcoming this news that a bunch of Pikmin short movies will be appearing on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel. However, where there’s give, there’s a take, and in this case, those movies are vanishing from the Wii U.

You may have known that there were 3 Pikmin movies that could be purchased through your Nintendo Account and viewed on the Wii U. But in an announcement from Nintendo, it reads “these short movies will no longer be available for purchase.” It continues by explaining, “Once the short movies have been purchased on your Nintendo Account, they can be re-downloaded and played if deleted from your device.”

These movies have been uploaded to the YouTube channel and available to watch for free, and you can find them below. They’re cute and fun little flicks, with one being 1 minute or so long, the other being around 8-minutes, and then another being 12-minutes.

There is another game in the series heading to the Nintendo Switch this month. Pikmin 3 Deluxe was shown off yesterday in a Nintendo Treehouse event and showed off Bingo Battle mode and a roulette wheel. It’ll be available on October 30, 2020, and there is a free demo available to download and try available on the eShop.
