Pillars of Eternity is Finally Coming to Nintendo Switch Soon
Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition from Obsidian Entertainment and Versus Evil is finally hitting Nintendo Switch on August 8, 2019.
While Pillars of Eternity has been on PC, PS4, and Xbox One for several years, it has yet to come to Nintendo Switch. That will finally be changing soon though, as publisher Versus Evil revealed today that Obsidian Entertainment’s critically acclaimed RPG will finally be hitting Nintendo’s hybrid console quite soon on August 8, 2019. You can check out the announcement trailer for this version of Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition below.
The Nintendo Switch version of Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will be on par with other platforms when it comes to content. Not only will it include The White March Part I and Part II, it will also contain all of the updates that have come to the game since its initial 2015 release. That means Nintendo Switch players will have access to a higher level cap, more options for party AI, and every difficulty level for Pillars of Eternity that can be found on PC. That being said, these improvements do come at a somewhat high price tag: $49.99. Those that pre-order the game digitally on Switch will get a 20% discount though.
The first screenshots of Pillars of Eternity running on Nintendo Switch were also shown off, so you can see those below. Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition is already available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One but will be adding Nintendo Switch to that lineup on August 8.
