Cloudhead Games' Pistol Whip launched late last year on PC to critical and commercial acclaim. The game takes inspiration from both action movies like John Wick and popular rhythm games like Beat Saber. In tossing those two together, it's built one of the most fun and sweatiest VR experiences you can get. And now, the game is coming to an even bigger audience when it launches on PSVR this summer. Give it a look below.

If you've played Beat Saber (and, assuming you own a VR device, you really should have by now), then you have a general idea of what Pistol Whip feels like. In place of slashing notes, you're shooting bad guys to the beat. In motion, it's an incredible experience that is unquestionably one of the best VR games out there.

Personally, I've put a ton of time into Pistol Whip on the Oculus Quest. The game has quickly become one of the best workouts you can get in VR. The game gives you more room to move than Beat Saber, and dodging slow-mo bullets means you're constantly squatting and lunging to the side. Pistol Whip also has a ton of modifiers that you change up the experience. I love putting on both dual-wield and no deaths. It's guaranteed to get you sweating in minutes. I'm excited for PSVR owners to finally have the chance to check out one of the best VR games available.

Pistol Whip comes to PSVR this summer. We don't yet have a firm release date, but that window is quickly approaching. I would expect a firm date relatively soon. And, once they launch, Cloudhead Games has already committed to releasing more updates. These will include "new scenes, customization options, and more".
