Publisher Pixelheart Studio and developer Statera announced at EVO 2022 that their brand new pixel art fighting game entitled Pocket Bravery will launch for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC via Steam in 'early 2023'.

There have been plenty of new game and DLC announcements at EVO 2022, one of the most prestigious fighting game community events. Pocket Bravery is a new 2D-style fighting game, blending old-school and modern themes and visuals. Pocket Bravery will be the first game that Pixelheart and Statera will work on in collaboration since the latter was acquired by the former back in July.

The announcement was accompanied by a Tweet, with the developers stating "Pocket Bravery is one of the special guests at Evo 2022. We've no words to thank you for this great honor. It's definitely a dream come true!"

Pocket Bravery is currently available to wishlist on Steam. Also available to try is the demo version. Pocket Bravery is an action fighting game that differentiates itself from its counterparts by blending old-school visuals with modern fighting game mechanics. According to the development team, the game is inspired by classics such as The King of Fighters and Street Fighter. The game features dozens of characters, each with unique abilities. The game will also have training features, designed to help new players improve.

The game also features elemental mechanics, for example, each character will have an element, allowing them to deal high damage when they accumulate two attacks on the elemental bar. Players will use four buttons to control their moves, two for kicks and two for punches. As previously mentioned, Pocket Bravery will release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in early 2023. The announcement trailer will let you know what to expect from the new fighting title.
