Electronic Arts announced with a press release that Plant vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is getting a free trial event and a 50% discount on PS4 and Xbox One starting today.

The game can be downloaded for free here for Xbox One and here for PS4 (the PS4 link isn't up yet at the moment of this writing, so you may have to check it out at a later time), and all progress, achievements and unlocks will be retained if you purchase the full version of the game. The free trial period will last ten hours.

PC players won't be left completely behind, as they'll be able to enjoy the same offer on Origin a bit later, on August 16th.

Both the free trial and the 50% discount will be available until August 30th, at 10 AM PDT. You can check out a trailer below.
