A round of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds could end without you ever pulling the trigger, but that's not the case in the game's new limited time event "War."

Three teams of 10 are dropping into a very small circle, and each member spawns with a random AR or DMR, a level one helmet and vest, and enough ammo for a few kills. Air drops are also spawning in every 90 seconds to make things even more chaotic.

Downing someone is worth one point, while a kill is worth three. That's important because revives only take two seconds and players respawn every 40. Don't worry, when you respawn you parachute to the ground much faster, but this also makes it easy to spawn in behind the enemy and surprise them.

The game mode lasts for 15 minutes, or until one team reaches 200 points.

Not only is this exactly the kind of fast-paced combat that players were looking for to hone their looting-and-shooting skills, but it's also been implemented with a surprisingly clean UI on the game's menu screen. If this is any indication of the way the game's updates are going to continue then fans are in for a good time. Maybe the three-seater bike won't be a deathtrap forever.

The event ends on April 15 at 7 pm PDT. For more on PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, check out the game's recent addition of weapon skins here. Or Check out news about the game's upcoming third map "Codename: Savage."
