PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' developer, Bluehole Studios has revealed new details on the game's next update.

It'll introduce new weapon, foggy weather, first-person leaderboards, and plenty of bug fixes.

A screenshot showed that the new gun will be the Mini-14, a semi-automatic rifle. It's unconfirmed whether or not the gun will be exclusive to care packages like some of the other weapons that have been brought into the game

First-person leaderboards will coincide with the first-person servers that were revealed early last month.

Yesterday, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds reached a concurrent player count of over 1 million on Steam. It was not so long ago that the game had officially passed Dota 2 in concurrent players, the first non-Valve game to ever claim the title of most played game on the platform.

You can check out some screenshots of the Mini-14 as well as a sneak peak at the new foggy weather effect down below.

If you've never heard of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds before, it's essentially a game where you and a bunch of other players are dropped onto a map and forced to kill each other until only one player, or squad, remains.

The game is available now in Early Access on PC. Bluehole is also partnering with Microsoft to bring the game to Xbox One sometime later this year, no other versions have been confirmed at this time.
