PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has been selling like hotcakes since it became available for Xbox One via Early Access this past December. This past week, the game passed another sales milestone.

Microsoft and PUBG Corp. recently announced that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has now surpassed 5 million players 0n Xbox One after only three months on the market. While these numbers are fairly staggering for an early access title, it's not surprising considering that over 3 million people had purchased PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds come early January. While the numbers have obviously slowed, the sales rate has stayed incredibly consistent these past two months.

It's worth mentioning that despite the many problems that have plagued the Xbox One version of the game since launch, PUBG Corp. has been good about consistently updating it. The game's most recent patch which went live nearly two weeks ago really helped with stabilization and, in my opinion, has drastically improved the quality of PUBG overall. It's still not perfect, but the game is slowly getting to where it should be.

To celebrate this 5 million player milestone, Microsoft released a new trailer showing off a litany of highlights that players have experienced within PUBG. You can find the video below. If you want to join the 5 million strong already playing, you can purchase PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for $29.99 on the Xbox marketplace or you can pick up the recent Xbox One S bundle that contains the game.
