Playlogic has thrown it’s collective hat into the developing of games for the PlayStation Move, set for release later this year. Playlogic Game Factory, the internal development studio for Playlogic, announced it is developing new motion control enabled products with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

Playlogic Game Factory has a long history of developing games for Sony including EyeToy Play: PomPom Party for PlayStation 2, Aqua Vita, Tori Emaki, Mesmerise, and most recently EyePet for PlayStation3. This is very good news for Sony fans. What the PlayStation Move needs is developers who are familiar with the system to make the games as good as they can possibly be.

Executive Vice President of Playlogic, Rogier Smit said: “We have increased the team size dedicated to these new projects to accommodate the extension of our partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. We have proved to Sony over the past 5 years that our team has the skills they require and we will continue to deliver the quality Playlogic Game Factory is known for.”

Looks as though Sony and the developers are gearing up for a huge launch for the PlayStation Move. Look for more announcements as we get closer to the release of one of the hottest peripherals of the year. Check back with DualShockers on more PlayStation Move information.
