It seems as though Sony may have in fact learned its lesson from 2006 when it priced the PlayStation 3 console at an astounding $600. Reports are surfacing in Japan, that not only once again confirm a 2013 release for the PlayStation 4 for the US and Japan, but also a price point.

Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun has reported that the next PlayStation will be around 40,000 yen (about $428). Asahi also noted a couple of more details including information about the new DualShock controller stating that although it does feature a touch sensor it is "roughly the same shape" as previous controllers.

Simliar reports have popped up over at Nikkei business, where that newspaper further corroborated Asahi's information and added, once again, a February 20th reveal date for the PS4. Nikkei also added that cloud technology will come into play, and that's thanks to Sony's acquisition of  streaming service Gaikai for $380 million dollars last year.

Considering I added it as one of the "must have" features in my PS4 editorial yesterday, it's nice to finally hear of Gaikai coming into the mix.
