Hosting and signing up for these tournaments has never been easier, thanks to a plethora of new features supported by the intuitive PS5 home screen. The process of discovering a tournament and registering in one can now be simply done from the home control center, and a new UI is being implemented to notify players about tournament information and starting times, in addition to giving access to all of the relevant details in real-time. Multiple tournament brackets will also be created automatically depending on the number of participants with a new feature called Bracket Capping.

Included with the blog announcement is a link to the official Playstation Tournaments Discord Community Hub. It is an official place where players can engage with the competitive community. Furthermore, interviews and play sessions with major figures in the Esports community will be hosted on this Discord server. A quick peek at the role selection in this Discord hints at the availability of tournaments for Madden games and Apex Legends, in addition to other fighting games alongside the aforementioned titles.

The tournaments are open to all players regardless of skill level. On top of the PlayStation console prizes and accessories, users can also win cash, in-game currency, and special collectibles just for taking part in the tournament.
