Just a few hours earlier, Sony officially announced the release date and price for PSVR 2, and along with it, the company confirmed 11 new titles for PSVR 2, some of which are new worldwide announcements, while some others are already available on other VR platforms.
The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR from Supermassive Games is one of the titles that we weren't aware of prior to today's announcement. It's yet to be seen whether the title would be exclusive to PSVR 2 or we will see it on other VR platforms as well.
Switchback VR is an action-oriented episode of The Dark Pictures that will send players to revisit the horrors of all The Dark Pictures iterations so far on a rollercoaster wagon. Holding a double pistol in your hands, you will need to kill the enemies and jumpscares crossing your path. Also, players will get to decide on which way to go when multiple paths are ahead. From Man of Medan to the upcoming The Devil In Me, all will be represented in Switchback VR as horrifying destinations.
Crossfire: Sierra Squad and Hello Neighbor: Search & Rescue are the other big announcements for PSVR 2. The former is a military shooter experience where you get to play through 60 missions in a war over a biochemical weapon. You will need to lead your squad in the battle and kill the enemies before getting shot at in a single-player environment.
The new VR iteration of Hello Neighbor will put you in the role of six little neighborhood heroes trying to set free their friend from an eerie basement prison, kept close by Mr. Peterson. Each character will have their unique abilities and role in progressing through the story and rescuing the imprisoned friend. Hello Neighbor: Search & Rescue will be available on the original PSVR as well.
Other than the aforementioned titles, Sony announced some new PSVR 2 ports such as Pistol Whip VR and Cities VR that will receive more enhancements when launching on Sony's new VR platform. Below, you can check out the full list of announced titles:
