This holiday season will see Sony dipping its toe into the ever-expanding market of miniaturized renditions of 20th-century consoles with its quite adorable PlayStation Classic. The compact little device which stands at 45% smaller than the original 90s system was announced back in September of this year.

Today, those with a taste for retro gaming get to see just what the PlayStation Classic has to offer, as the entire lineup has been officially revealed featuring 20 timeless titles; many of which were genre-defining when they initially launched. However, the machine will not feature options to download additional games. While fighting game fans can relive the birth of the 3D era with Battle Arena Toshinden and Tekken 3, puzzle fans can dive into classics such as Intelligent Qube and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. Platforming is also represented in both 2D and 3D through Rayman and Jumping Flash respectively.

However, alongside these classic games are some of the biggest titles of the PlayStation generation. The mighty Metal Gear Solid will be included in the collection, mixing stealth, action, and character development to create a unique cinematic experience. Along with this is the Director's Cut of the original Resident Evil; the title that defined the genre of survival horror. The first Grand Theft Auto game also makes an appearance; sporting a top-down view this controversial title follows the misadventures of a gangster traveling through Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas. Although vastly different from what see in Grand Theft Auto V, this was still an important stepping stone in making the series the household name that it is today.

To top it off, the infamous Final Fantasy VII is also included in this robust collection. Considered by many to be one of the greatest video games ever made, this title was graphically ground-breaking when it was first released in 1997.

The PlayStation Classic will be available from December 3, 2018, and can be pre-ordered now on Amazon. You can check out the full list of the 20 pre-installed games down below along with the lineup reveal trailer to wet your nostalgic thirst.
