Arc System Works just released a batch of new screenshots of the upcoming PlayStation Exclusive Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-, which will hit the North American shelves on December 16th.

The new screenshots reveal a new DLC character exclusive to the console version, LEO = WHITEFANG, even if we’ll have to wait for a further update to know more about him, and especially about his fighting style.

The developer also announced that the game will have online lobbies that will accomodate a whopping 64 players. In the lobbies it will be possible to chat, create a fully customized play room and access the match making.

Interestingly, Arc System Works will also release a companion app, which will work exclusively with the PlayStation 4 version. The app will interact with the game in the following way:

From the app you can:

Create a tournament (setting schedule and rules).
Check out a tournament (checking schedule and rules).
Tournament entry.
Check the results of past tournaments.
Receive a notification for the start of a torunament.

from the PlayStation 4 you can:

Check out a tournament (setting schedule and rules).
Entry in the dedicated lobby.
Check out the roster.
Play (moving to a private room).
Check out the tournament results.

The app will be distributed for free and it will be available for iPhone 4 or later and Android 4.0 or later.

Below you can see all the screenshots released today.
