PlayStation Experience: Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono Will Be There; Will He Announce His New PS4 Game?

on October 31, 2014 8:03 PM

Capcom Producer Yoshinori Ono will be at PlayStation Experience which will be held in Vegas between December 6th and December 7th, as he just mentioned on Twitter.

When asked if he’s going to announce his rumored PS4 game, he took a definitely teasing approach:

Incidentally, he also acknowledged the demand for a PS4 port of Ultra Street Fighter IV, even if quite obviously he didn’t make any promises.

Ono-san’s Linkedin profile revealed earlier this year that he’s working on a new PS4 game, even if he covered his tracks afterwards. He also traveled to China and Hong Kong with Sony to perform research presumably for the same game. More recently he visited Sony to meet VP of Publisher & Developer Relations Adam Boyes and his team.

Putting the pieces of the puzzle together, it seems possible that Ono-san and Capcom are preparing to announce something new for Sony’s console at PlayStation Experience. Of course we can’t be sure until the official announcement will actually come, but it’s definitely a possibility, especially since Ono-san isn’t directly involved with Resident Evil Revelations 2.

Another possibility could definitely be the announcement of a western localization of Deep Down, but again, we’ll have to wait December 6th or 7th to be sure. If something really comes out of this… Well… I told you so.
