Sony could be gearing up for another PlayStation State of Play according to the latest report by a reliable industry insider.

The last State of Play was held right before the Summer Games Fest, marking the onset of the E3 season which is awaited by fans all across the globe. When it comes to the event itself, it managed to garner a quite polarized response from the community. While a part of the fan base considered it as one of the best State of Play ever, others believed that it was lacking on multiple fronts. Some believed that there was too much emphasis on VR, while the main reason remained to be the absence of God of War Ragnarok. However, that could change very soon.

According to Tom Henderson, who is quite a reliable leaker in the gaming industry, we could be getting a new State of Play next week. There are multiple reasons cited for the same, the most pivotal of them being the fact that Bloomberg has reported that God of War Ragnarok will be getting a release date this month itself. Considering the scale of the game and the hype around it, if it is indeed true, which is very much possible considering how accurate Bloomberg reports have been, then we are getting the State of Play before the end of the month in all probability.

Moreover, Gran Turismo is also gearing up for a major update next week. On top of that, Sony is also reportedly working on some new hardware, which includes a new PlayStation controller as well. If we are getting a new State of Play next week, then we should be getting an announcement pretty soon. Whether fans finally get to see more of God of War Ragnarok remains to be seen.
