Christmas and the holidays have always been a great time for gamers to enjoy plenty of new games and new consoles, though issues with network connectivity and outages have caused this year's holiday season to be dampened by inactive network services for new PS4 and Xbox One owners.Following the severe downtime on both PSN and Xbox Live over Christmas, both services' status pages are now showing that progress to resolve network issues is being made, with Xbox Live's service page showing that "nearly" all services are back to "up and running," aside from a few apps on both Xbox One and Xbox 360 experiencing issues, but core gameplay and other features and functioning normally.Currently, the service page for PSN is reporting that the service is still offline, though the latest tweets from the Ask PlayStation Twitter account report that "our engineers are continuing to work hard to resolve the network issues" that have been plaguing both services since Christmas Eve.Stay tuned for more details on PSN and Xbox Live's services returning back to normal as news develops.
