PlayStation Network Experiencing Outages Possibly Due to DDOS Attacks, Sony “Working to Address Them”
While this weekend was a joyous occasion to be a PlayStation fan thanks to the PlayStation Experience’s line-up of current and upcoming games to look forward to, over on PlayStation Network things haven’t been as celebratory thanks to hacking attempts and outages causing issues for Sony’s online service.
In a tweet sent out by the official PlayStation Twitter account, Sony acknowledged issues with PSN causing some users to be unable to log in, advising that the company is “working to address them” and will update appropriately when solved.
DDOS attacks have caused issues on PSN in the past several weeks with a group claiming responsibility for outages over on Xbox Live, causing speculation that the same group may be involved in the attempts on PSN, as well.
