on May 15, 2015 7:57 PM

If you were planning to get some online time on the PSN, you might have to wait, as many users are reporting varying degrees of issues with most services on Sony’s online platform.

The official PSN status page acknowledged the problems, as you can see at the bottom of the post, and DownDetector also shows a large amount of reports.

As usual we’ll keep you update on further developments, but for now we’ll have to wait for Sony’s engineers to feed the hamsters.

Update: after briefly going back up, the PSN is down again for many users, and it now displays a maintenance notice to those trying to log in.

Update 2: While the official status page still did not give the “all green,” my PSN reconnected, meaning that the problem might be heading towards a solution.

Update 3: Sony just updated the official status page, confirming that the PSN has now resumed normal operations.
