PlayStation Network Logins Down for Many Users Due to Partial Outage (UPDATED)
Looks like a number of PlayStation Network users are in for a period with no online, as reports of the inability to log in are piling in over multiple social networks.
While the outage seems to be widespread, as indicated by DownDetector (you can see the spike in reports below), it doesn’t seem to be affecting everyone, as numerous users (including yours truly) report that they’re still able to use the network.
Unfortunately, both the PSN and Xbox Live suffered from numerous outages in the past couple months, and hopefully Sony and Microsoft will manage to get to the bottom of the issues soon.
The official PSN status page still has to acknowledge the problem, and we’ll keep you updated on further developments.
Update: the official PlayStation help account on Twitter acknowledged the issue, and mentioned that investigations are being conducted:
@bristow_of2015 Some users are experiencing issues with the PSN. Thank you for your report. Thanks for your patience as we investigate.
