Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that the PlayStation Network will undergo a very short maintenance soon. According to the house of PlayStation, the work is just routine and should only last an hour. That being said anything can happen, and maintenance has been extended in the past, so we will keep you posted if there are any extensions.

The maintenance will begin on Tuesday April 25th, 2017, at 1:00 AM and last until 2:00 AM that same day your in your timezone.

During this time, the PlayStation Store and the Account Management tab will not be accessible, however Sony mentioned that players should still be able to do everything else, including sign in, and play games. However, it's recommended to activate your PS4 as your primary console in order to do access these functions while the maintenance occurs.

While Sony seems to conduct maintenance every few months, the company confirmed they are working hard to reduce the time of each maintenance period. Also considering the fact that this is occurring at 1:00 AM, and only lasting an hour, this should not effect too many people. Once again, if anything changes, like the maintenance being extended or reduced, we will keep you informed on the status.
