It's that time of the month again. Even though Christmas was only yesterday, today is the Wednesday before the first Tuesday of the next month, meaning it's high time we learned about what games PlayStation Plus users will be getting for free during the month of January and...I gotta say, it's a bit of a letdown, especially when compared to Xbox's lineup.

PlayStation 4 players, which I imagine would be a lot of people after yesterday's holiday, will be able to download Steep and Portal Knights. The former is an extreme snowboarding game, developed by Ubisoft, that was originally released back in 2016. Ironically enough, the game came to the PlayStation Now streaming service back in November of this year.

Portal Knights, on the other hand, is a co-op action RPG, published by 505 Games. Back in August, the game received a new Villainous Update, which added new enemies, new areas, and more.

Of course, until March of 2019, PlayStation Plus users will still get PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 games. Next month's lineup also includes Zone of the Enders HD Collection and Amplitude for PS3, as well as Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion and Super Mutant Alien Assault for Vita.
