PlayStation today uploaded a new gameplay video showing off the upcoming RPG Cosmic Star Heroine. This video shows off some of the opening minutes of the game and gives you an idea for how the gameplay works as well as showing off the inventory and level up system.

To best explain Cosmic Star Heroine for those who are unfamiliar with it, the following description sums it up best:

Cosmic Star Heroine is a classic-style turn-based RPG set in a diverse sci-fi universe.  Inspired by the classics of the 16-bit era, and designed with a fast-paced, streamlined approach to gameplay.

Cosmic Star Heroine serves as the fourth game in PlayStation's Play Collective lineup. The Play Collective is a six week event that PlayStation is having where a new notable title releases every week beginning on March 21 and running until April 25. Some of these games include Everything, Full Throttle RemasteredWhat Remains of Edith Finch, and of course Cosmic Star Heroine. PS Plus subscribers can pre-order each of these Play Collective titles to receive 20% off of the price of the game upon release. In the case of CSH, it will only cost $11.99 for PS Plus subscribers who pre-order now.

A PS Vita version of Cosmic Star Heroine is on its way but will not arrive in time for next week's release. Zeboyd Games, the developer of CSH, does promise however that it will be available soon after the PS4 release.

On a final note, I was able to check the game out last year at PlayStation Experience 2016 and I had a ton of fun with it. If you're a fan of old school RPGs then this will be right up your alley. Be sure to pick it up next week for PS4 and PC on April 11, 2017 and watch the gameplay video below.
