While we already know that the PlayStation Vita will be released only in Japan this year, with a following release in the US and Europe at the beginning of next year, we still don’t know the official release date in any region.

Today SCEJ president Hiroshi Kawano published a blog post on the official SCEJ PS Vita community site, announcing that the official release date for the PlayStation Vita will be made public during the Tokyo Game Show (15-18 september).

Of course we don’t know if they will announce the release date for the Japanese market only, or if they will also share the street dates for other regions.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
