PlayStation Vita TV Gets First Launch Outside Japan on January the 16th in Five Asian Countries

Sony Computer Entertainment announced that the first launch of the PlayStation Vita  TV outside Japan will happen at the same time in five different Asian countries: Singapore, ThailandMalaysia, Indonesia, Philippines. All five countries will see the release of the diminutive PS-Vita derived console on January the 16th.

Both the standard package with only the console and the Value Pack with a 8 GB Memory card and a DualShock 3 will be offered. Below you can find the prices for each country:

  • Singapore: Standard SGD149. Value Pack SGD219
  • Thailand: Standard THB4,590. Value Pack THB6,790
  • Malaysia: Standard MYR469. Value Pack MYR689
  • Indonesia: Standard IDR2,599,000. Value Pack IDR2,599,000
  • Philippines: Standard PHP5,999. Value Pack PHP8,599

We’re still waiting for the announcement of a release date in the west, but at least Sony seems keen on launching the PS Vita TV outside of Japan. That’s a good sign.
