The third anniversary of PlayStation VR is on the 13th this month and Sony is celebrating with a sale on a whole bunch of games. The sale begins today and runs through Oct. 22 in the United States. It'll start and end a day later in Europe. Some notable games getting a discount are Doom VFR, Batman: Arkham VR, Persona Dancing: Endless Night Bundle, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Superhot VR, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, and Borderlands 2 VR. You can check out this PlayStation Blog post for the full list of games receiving a price cut.

Sony announced the release dates of upcoming PS VR titles Bonfire, Audica, Paper Beast, Pixel Ripped 1995, and The Room VR: A Dark Matter as well. Bonfire and Audica are coming out this year on Oct. 22 and Nov. 5, respectively. Paper Beast is slated for early 2020, while Pixel Ripped 1995 and The Room VR: A Dark Matter will see Spring 2020 releases.

Sony finished off its celebratory post with a list of the 10 most popular PS VR titles in the Americas. Popularity was determined by the number of PSN accounts who played each game. Your winners (in no particular order) are:

  • The Playroom VR
  • PlayStation VR Worlds
  • Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
  • Resident Evil 7 biohazard
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR
  • Beat Saber
  • Job Simulator
  • Batman: Arkham VR
  • Superhot VR
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Jackal Assault VR Experience

I get the feeling Iron Man VR could eventually make its way onto that list once it releases on Feb. 28, 2020. It was originally supposed to come out later this year, but unfortunately got pushed back. We got a look at the game's story at the Marvel Games New York Comic-Con panel. It features Ghost, a villain from Ant-Man & The Wasp. You can get a better feel for her from the Iron Man VR story trailer here:
