Pokemon fans that own iOS devices have something to look forward to as an official Pokedex app has been released for iOS from the Pokemon Company.

The app retails for $1.99 and provides an experience that is similar to the Pokedex application on the Nintendo 3DS. Users will be able to check out Pokemon stats, moves, compatible TMs, abilities, descriptions, egg group, and what are its strengths and weaknesses.

Pokemon from the Unova region are included in the app, those from Pokemon Black and White and Pokemon Black 2 and White 2. Users will be able to purchase information on Pokemon from other regions using the in app store. The additional Pokemon will increase the cost of the app but with all the indepth information provided gamers would be paying around the same amount they would for the book version of thePokedex.

This is something Pokemon gamers will want to consider in building up their teams and deciding on how to develop their Pokemon.
