Pokemon Black/White Break 2.5 Million Units in 48 Hours

By Kenneth Richardson

September 21, 2010

Pokémon games have always been big. People just love pouring dozens of hours into them searching explicitly for those ten, twenty or two hundred little critters that they haven’t captured yet. Pokémon Heart Gold/Soul Silver became the second best selling Japanese games of last year, and already the new game is hitting its stride.

Within just two days of release, the game has moved a staggering two point six million units. The previous Pokémon iteration sold three point four million copies and so Black/White have already cleared a frightening two thirds of that, and in only two days. American fans can partake in the portable sensation next spring.
